Our Journey

Do only successful people write?

I enjoy reading self-development books.

The reason I found joy in reading after turning forty is

because I picked up Kelly Choi's Wealth-Thinking.

When you read books by self-made individuals,

it feels like every moment of their lives is nothing short of a miracle.

The key driving force that

helped elevate them to a place of influence and great wealth,

often comes from the poverty and various forms of scarcity they were born into.

The fact that poverty and lack seem to be essential ingredients for success

can only be described as a miracle.

However, when I reflect on my own life,

I realize that such miracles exist for us as well.

The countless moments of decision we’ve passed

by without much thought eventually reveal their significance,

like miracles, at some point in the future.

Just like the future 'me' in Interstellar

sent the coordinates of NASA's secret base to the present 'me,'

Or how the subtle ticking of the clock, which could have easily gone unnoticed,

was actually Morse code sent by the future 'me' to my present 'daughter.'

The countless decisions I am making now are signals sent by my future self,

detected and interpreted by the present me.

The theory of time relativity and quantum physics often appears in self-development books.

When we’re fully immersed in something, time seems to fly by.

This isn’t just a “feeling” that time has passed quickly.

According to the theory of relativity,

it’s because my time is actually flowing slower than someone else’s.

A key concept in quantum physics is the 'observer.'

The 'observer's' consciousness already knows the direction

in which atoms flow, so the moment I become aware of it

—the present, the space, the point in time—

the outcome is already determined.

It’s fascinating that physics, which is rooted in advanced mathematical theories,

leads to such deep and profound philosophical conclusions.

There are many reasons why I’m writing on my blog, but this is one of them.

After reading self-development books,

I deeply desire to inspire and comfort others with my writing,

just as those books have done for me.

However, I have no formal training on how to write or where to begin with my topics.

Despite that, I had to start somewhere.

It’s better to start

and then figure things out than just to sit down with regret for not even trying.

So, I began.

To the few people who might stumble upon and read this piece,

tucked away in a quiet corner of the internet,

I want to say this to you.

Once I got started,

I realized that worrying after starting is

a hundred times better than not starting at all and being left with only regret.
