토익 고득점 영어공부 매일하기 3일차 - 마지막 몰입: 나를 넘어서는 힘

책 page 33 제1장 : 아래의 내용으로 영어로 작성을 해본다

 

반드시 5분 이상은 머릿속으로 영작을 해보는 것을 원한다.

 

3일차  사실은 유치원 때 겪은 사건 하나가 나의 인생을 완전히 바꿔놓았다. 어느 날 수업 도중 창밖에서 사이렌 소리가 들려왔다. 교실의 모두가 이 소리를 들었고, 선생님이 밖을 내다보고는 소방차가 보인다고 했고 유치원 아이들은 그 나이에 맞는 반응을 하였다. 우리는 모두 창문으로 달려 갔다. 지금도 그렇지만 그때도 슈퍼히어로에 마음을 뺐겼던 나는 특히 흥분했다. 소방관은 내가 하는 세상에서 슈퍼히어로에 가장 근접한 존재였다. 나는 잽싸게 다른 아이들과 함께 바로 창문으로 갔다

There was an incident that changed my entire life when I was in Kindergarten We were in a classroom and heard a Siren from the window The teacher looked at the outside and said “it’s a fire truck” and all the children ran over to the window I was so obsessed with superheroes back in that time (same as now), I was so excited Because I thought firefighters are the closest superheroes in real life

This all stems from an incident in kindergarten that completely altered the course of my life I was in class one day, and there were sirens outside the window Everyone in the classroom took notice, and the teacher looked out and said she saw fire trucks The entire class responded to this information the way kindergartens do We immediately rushed to the windows I was particularly excited because, by that pint, I was already obsessed with superheroes ( I still am) To me, firefighters were the closest thing to real life superheroes I knew. I bolted to the window everyone else

 

모르는 단어는 따로 적어서 사전 확인한다

Stem: 줄기, 따른, 기인하다, 비롯되다, 생기다 

Stem from: ~에서 기인하다 

Homesickness appears to stem from our instinctive need for stability and security 

향수병은 안정과 안전에 대한 본능적인 욕구에서 비롯된 것 같다

 

Bolt: 달리기 시작하다. 잽싸게 행동하다

The thief bolted when he saw the policeman

 

문장 대 문장으로 한글과 영어 둘 다 적어본다. 

 

여기서 영어로 도저히 영작할 수 없었던 문장과 쉬운 영어 문장이었음에도 불구하고

어처구니없게 영작한 부분들은 색깔을 주어 강조한다

We immediately rushed to the windows. 지금도 그렇지만 그때도 슈퍼히어로에 마음을 뺐겼던 나는 특히 흥분했다. I was particulary excited because by that point, I was already obssed with superheros ( I still am)  소방관은 내가 아는 세상에서 슈퍼히어로에 가장 근접한 존재였다.  To me, fire fighters were the closest thing in the real life superheros I knew 나는 잽싸게 다른 아이들과 함께 바로 창문으로 갔다 I bolted to the window with everyone elses
